Landal GreenParks opens its first holiday park in Scotland: Landal Piperdam

Landal GreenParks has opened a fifth holiday park in Great Britain, Landal Piperdam. The new park is situated in the idyllic landscape of Angus near Dundee, a one and a half hour drive north of Edinburgh. It is the first park on Scottish soil.

Landal Piperdam is a holiday resort with a variety of types of accommodation, for groups varying from 2 to 12 persons, including the brand-new luxury lodges by Piperdam Loch. Guests can use the swimming pool, sauna, steam cabins and fitness centre. The park also has an indoor playground for the children, an extensive entertainment programme and a restaurant.

The beautiful countryside in the area offers many challenging outdoor activities, including cycling, mountain biking, hiking and golf on the 9- and 18-hole courses right next to the park. Furthermore, within 45 minutes you can reach three world-famous golfing destinations: Carnoustie, Gleneagles and St Andrews. In the nearby Dundee, declared a UNESCO City of Design, the government has invested heavily in tourism; a satellite branch of the popular Victoria & Albert Museum from London was recently opened there.

Five new parks in one and a half years

For Landal GreenParks, Landal Piperdam is the fifth new park opened in Great Britain in one and a half years. It previously opened Landal Darwin Forest and Landal Sandybrook in the Peak District National Park, Landal Kielder Waterside in the Northumberland National Park on the border of England and Scotland and Landal Gwel an Mor, located on the coast of Cornwall.

“We have made an excellent start on the British market and also see a clear increase in the number of our existing guests visiting the English parks. The increasing popularity of Landal in Great Britain has also led to an increase in the number of British visiting our parks in Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands”, states Thomas Heerkens, general director of Landal GreenParks.
