Landal GreenParks opens two new holiday parks in Great Britain

Landal Woodland Lakes (Yorkshire) and Landal Barton Pines (Devon)

International holiday provider Landal GreenParks is opening two new holiday parks in two popular destinations in Great Britain. The luxury resort Landal Woodland Lakes is located near the historic city of York in the rolling countryside of Yorkshire. Landal Barton Pines is located on an estate in South Devon near Paignton on the popular English Riviera. This brings the number of Landal GreenParks in Great Britain within three-and-a-half year’s time to eight.

Since February of this year, Landal GreenParks has announced ten new destinations: Landal Middelfart and Landal Fyrklit (Denmark), Landal Puur Exloo and Landal Drentse Lagune (Drenthe), Landal Elfstedenhart (Friesland), Landal De Wielsche Dreef (Betuwe), Landal Kaap West (Terschelling), Landal Arber (Germany) and Landal Woodland Lakes and Landal Barton Pines (Great Britain). Landal Volendam and Landal Marker Wadden were announced earlier, but opened their doors this spring. Further expansions in the Netherlands and Germany within the foreseeable future have also been announced.

“Thanks to our rapid growth in Great Britain, with parks from Cornwall to Scotland, we’ve put Landal GreenParks firmly on the map here. British holidaymakers are pleased with our locations in nature, our product and our guest-focused approach. These two new destinations are sure to delight lots of British guests and are once again a great expansion of our portfolio,” says Dirk Anbeek, Managing Director of Landal GreenParks.

Landal has previously opened Landal Piperdam in Scotland, Landal Darwin Forest and Landal Sandybrook in the Peak District National Park, Landal Kielder Waterside in the Northumberland National Park on the border between England and Scotland, Landal Gwel an Mor, located on the coast of the English county of Cornwall, and Landal Kenwick Woods in the county of Lincolnshire.

Landal Woodland Lakes

Thanks to its location in a beautiful wildlife area around 13 fishing lakes and with the comfort of luxury lodge accommodations, Landal Woodland Lakes ties in perfectly with the Landal GreenParks portfolio. It has a mixture of traditionally built lodges and modern holiday homes by the water that combine serenity and space with luxurious living comfort, while the majority of the accommodations have their own private jacuzzi. The newly opened Olive Tree Café & Restaurant at the resort ensures a safe distance between guests, with takeaway and dine-in possibilities, with easy ordering and table reservations using the user-friendly mobile app. The park also has an indoor swimming pool, spa, indoor play area and shop.

Landal GreenParks is responsible for the rental of the park on behalf of its owner, Coppergreen Developments, which also owns the Landal Piperdam (Scotland) and Landal Kenwick Woods (Lincolnshire) parks. Both parks have made so much headway under the Landal GreenParks flag that Coppergreen decided to add Landal Woodland Lakes as a third park to its partnership with Landal.

David Copley, CEO of Coppergreen Developments, comments, “We’re extremely pleased to further strengthen our partnership with Landal and add Woodland Lakes to the growing Landal GreenParks portfolio in Great Britain. We have already invested considerably in such things as Landal hospitality training for our staff and our guests are already benefitting from this and highly appreciative of it.”

Guests from outside Great Britain can book Woodside Lakes for arrivals from January 2021 at www.landal.com.

Landal Barton Pines

Landal Barton Pines has 48 lodge accommodations and semi-detached apartments at a unique location in the hills, with panoramic views of the coastline and the seaside town of Paignton, which together with Torquay and Brixham forms the English Riviera. A building permit has been issued for 27 new VIP lodges in a secluded part of the site. The holiday park has an exclusive look & feel and boasts a spa and stylish bistro with a restaurant area and takeaway meals. A swimming pool will be installed in January 2021. Devon is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Great Britain, especially for its holiday homes. It is known for its rolling landscapes and rural, picturesque villages, where tranquility and quiet reign. The Dartmoor National Park and the kilometres of coastline also attract large numbers of visitors to the area.
