Landal GreenParks expands with three new holiday parks in the Netherlands and Great Britain

Selective growth with high-quality holiday parks continues

Landal GreenParks announces three new holiday parks: Landal Sallandse Heuvelrug near Wierden (Twente), Landal De Brabantse Wal near Bergen op Zoom (Brabant) and Landal Rockingham Forest in Great Britain. With this announcement, Landal GreenParks continues its ongoing growth.

Just like last year, Landal GreenParks has noticed a great demand for holiday accommodation in the Netherlands. Not only by holidaymakers looking for nature, peace and space but also by private investors wishing to invest in recreational real estate with a stable value.

“This trend is expected to continue for the time being. These new parks perfectly fit into our ambition to increase the number of high-quality parks close to beautiful nature. In the Netherlands, we still see sufficient room for growth in this sector. Still, also internationally there are development opportunities for a strong brand such as Landal GreenParks,” says Dirk Anbeek, General Manager of Landal GreenParks.

Landal Sallandse Heuvelrug

This new Landal park takes its name from its location near National Park De Sallandse Heuvelrug nearby Wierden, on the border of Twente and Salland. The rich nature of moors, forests and rolling fields with centuries-old trees make this an ideal area for hiking and cycling. The idyllic towns of Delden, Denekamp and Ootmarsum are a short distance away, and the many estates and castles are well worth a visit. The proximity of golf courses, mountain bike routes and the Adventure Park Hellendoorn and the Amusement Park Slagharen make this an attractive area for families looking for a varied holiday.

The existing 25 holiday homes will be available for rent as of 15 July. Newly built homes will be designed in collaboration with developer Paul Schuttenbelt, Gerrit Tijhuis and Gerri van Gerner (owner of the neighbouring Hoge Hexel bungalow park). In total, there will be 110 holiday homes. Guests of Landal GreenParks will be able to use the central facilities of Hoge Hexel.

Landal De Brabantse Wal

The beautiful recreation site Landal De Brabantse Wal is located near Bergen op Zoom in a rural, forested surrounding area with plenty of sporting and culinary facilities in the immediate vicinity. Peace, space, nature and experience are central to this new contemporary holiday park, making it a nice addition to our portfolio. The location is near a golf course, the forest, the historical city centre of Bergen op Zoom, the climbing forest Brabantse Wal, Monkey Town and near the A58 motorway.

The new holiday park will consist of 105 holiday homes and 46 lodges/tiny houses. There will also be a central facility with a reception desk, a restaurant, a mini-shop, technical services, housekeeping, bicycle rental and a multi-purpose hall. The project is being developed by Buitenplaats Bergen op Zoom Ontwikkeling B.V. The sale and construction of the units will take place in 3 phases. Landal GreenParks will manage and rent out the holiday homes.

The sale of the holiday homes to private investors at Landal De Brabantse Wal is in the hands of Landal Makelaardij and Vakantiemakelaar.

Landal Rockingham Forest

Landal Rockingham Forest will be Landal GreenParks' ninth destination in the UK and the first to be developed from scratch. The original Rockingham Forest Park is a family business, located on the former RAF King's Cliffe airbase in Northamptonshire, about 20 km from Peterborough. The family is happy to join the Landal brand, because of the image and the dedication to nature and sustainability. A total of 56 luxury lodges will be built here in a natural, wooded environment that offers countless opportunities for excursions. Rockingham Forest is set to receive its first guests on 28 May. The entire park is expected to be available for rent in the spring of 2022.
