Landal GreenParks expands into Denmark with addition of Dayz Resorts

The acquisition of the Danish Dayz Resorts by Landal GreenParks, a leading European player in holiday park management and rentals, forms an entry into the Scandinavian market for the company. Dayz Resorts manages five holiday resorts with a total of more than 1,000 holiday homes on the Jutland peninsula. The Dayz Resorts fit in well with Landal’s existing 78 holiday parks in seven European countries.

“Landal is a leading European company with a high number of repeat visitors and has been acclaimed by various consumer and trade awards. The addition of the Dayz brand to our portfolio fits our ambitions for further international expansion and we are excited to be able to offer our guests great new holiday destinations,” said Thomas Heerkens, CEO of Landal GreenParks. “Also, the Danish market brings exciting new opportunities to our existing parks. This is a perfect match.”

“We are proud to become part of Landal GreenParks as a partner for the future. We expect this acquisition to bring a positive impulse to our park experience and better access to other European markets. Landal’s expertise in this branch brings us great new opportunities, while at the same time the fact that a leading European company wants to invest in the Danish market is very positive for Danish tourism in general,” said Søren Sandberg, Managing Director of Dayz Resorts. Within Landal GreenParks, the five Dayz Resorts holiday parks will continue to operate under their present name.

The characteristics of the holiday parks of the two companies are very similar. All parks are set in natural surroundings, in coastal or mountainous regions, in forests and at lakesides, and offer a wide variety of additional facilities and activities.
