Landal Gwel an Mor crowned the country’s best holiday park by Visit England

Landal Gwel an Mor has been named the nation’s number one holiday park for a second time at this year’s Visit England Awards for Excellence.

The five-star luxury lodge park on the stunning north Cornwall coast was crowned the tourism body’s Holiday Park / Holiday Village of the Year during an awards ceremony at Bath Assembly Rooms on Monday (April 23rd).

It comes less than six months after the renowned Cornish resort became the third Landal GreenParks UK location to be launched in under 12 months.

Erik van Essen, Landal GreenParks CCO, says: “This is a fantastic and very well-deserved achievement for the team at Gwel an Mor and a huge endorsement for the Landal brand in the UK. The park’s long-standing reputation for quality, its exceptional facilities and beautiful setting make it the perfect Landal location and we are delighted that it has been recognised with such a prestigious award.”

Landal Gwel an Mor is an ideal base for friends, families and couples to get closer to nature with guests able to feed foxes, as well as try their hand at rock pooling, night fauna walks falconry and a range of other activities. It is also just 15 miles away from the newly transformed Tate St Ives, which recently re-opened following a four-year refurbishment.

VisitEngland Chief Executive Sally Balcombe said: “These awards are a celebration of our thriving tourism industry. They highlight the people and the organisations that deliver amazing experiences for visitors, raising the profile of England as a world-class destination”.

Landal’s other two UK parks are Landal Darwin Forest, situated on the edge of the Peak District National Park, and Landal Kielder Waterside, set deep within Northumberland’s Kielder Water & Forest Park. A fourth Landal UK location is due to be announced soon.
